Last Preview. LondonEdge 2014

Morgen geht unser Flieger nach London. Somit posten wir heute einen letzten Preview der LondonEdge. Wir sind so gespannt auf die ganzen großen Labels wie Collectif, Sourpuss, Iron Fist, Banned Apparel uvm. sowie auf viele uns noch unbekannte Labels!

From 2nd - 4th February, London's Olympia National Hall will once again play host to the biggest and best show of its kind in the world; LondonEdge. Acclaimed for its assortment of alternative fashion, footwear and accessories brands, this one of a kind show continually presents some of the most creative, exciting and niche collections in the world. 

In its 14th year, LondonEdge will once again provide fresh new brands for visitors, buyers and press to peruse with an almighty throng of International, British, new and already established brands filling Olympia's show floor. 

This February, LondonEdge will be welcoming a host of new exhibitors such as Walter Wright, YRUKUDZB BarbarellaZombie Girl and more but also are pleased to welcome back a number of past exhibitors and all round big dogs in the alternative fashion market. 

Vintage lovers will be pleased to see the return of Banned London, Collectif, One Direction, Seamstress of Bloomsbury, Sourpuss, Hell Bunny and Bettie Page and those looking for a brand with a bit of edge can once again peruse Loungefly's eye catching bags and accessories, Iron Fist's unapologetic apparel and Stargazer's funky cosmetics. 

If you're looking for clothing and accessories that favour the darker side of fashion, Queen of DarknessToo FastAlchemyNew Rock and Evil Clothing will also be returning to  showcase their gothic and punk collections.

Queen of Darkness:

The Queen of Darkness summer collection 2014 unifies comfortable wearability with extraordinary styles. The fundamental tone is as usual rocking, combined with classic Gothic elements and elegant cuts.

Stylistic inconsistency are specific applied and melt totally contrary styles to an innovative unity, which set Queen of Darkness apart from the mainstream.

Live in a unique world of bright colours, loud prints and a "devil may care" attitude. This iconic lifestyle brand from LA produce a killer range of footwear, apparel and accessories designed for the unapologetic. Exhibiting on stand H57 at LondonEdge, make sure you visit the stand & experience the new collection.

Sourpuss Clothing

Sourpuss Clothing have spent the last few months burning the midnight oil to bring to LondonEdge their best looks yet. Presenting a variety of new and exciting silhouettes but also staying true to the brands identity and old favourites.  There’s a little something for everyone  from sharks, hearts and puppies to milkshakes and tattoo inspired artwork. You’ll know it’s Sourpuss the moment you get your first look. It was a labor of love, and the brand are excited to share with all this February. 


This year Too Fast is changing it all with a new pricing structure, improved shipping and smart designs set to explode in the hearts of all customers. From rockabilly dresses to punk pajamas and zombie posters to ballerina shoes, the new collection is a breakthrough for the company and a welcomed treat for all the rest.


An independent brand, with its heart in the 1940s and 1950s; Collectif is influenced by current trends, but inspired by genuine vintage items from their extensive archive.

This season Collectif will be presenting their beautiful new collection on stand G16, insprired by the ladylike glamour of the 1950's with a stunning look for everyone, whatever your taste. 

Dead Threads

Dead Threads are continuing to expand on their innovative range of signature trousers which are increasingly popular with buyers from around the globe as well as adding to their comprehensive range of ladies alternative clothing including dresses, tops, skirts and jackets.

New for LondonEdge 2014 is the launch of Dead Threads offshoot brand, “WHISPERING IVY.  A vintage inspired label focused on dresses, there are already plans to expand with with tops and skirts from fashion’s best eras. 

Banned Apparel

Banned is an alternative brand based in East London with influences from vintage, goth, rockabilly, nautical and street wear. Accessories, bags, bodysuits, corsets, dresses, leggings and more will all be showcased at LondonEdge. 

Seamstress of Bloomsbury

These photographs are of 'The Three Belles' wearing 'The Seamstress of Bloomsbury' dresses, which is really rather cool.  

The print on the 'Dolly' dresses they are wearing is from a beautiful original 1940's print! Their manager has asked me for tickets for him and the girls, which I've sent.

The Three Belles  are doing really well and are popular and are seen quite regularly on the TV. If I see them there I'll come and tell you as they would certainly like their picture taken at London Edge which could help with promotion for London Edge September 2014....

One Direction: 

Voodoo Vixen:  Based in the heart of East London, Voodoo Vixen is an infusion of retro, rockabilly, 50s and pin-up styles.  Our designs cater to compliment curves, bringing to the forefront for all to see and unleashing your inner Vixen!  With in-house design teams in London and L.A, Voodoo Vixen blends current fashion trends with vintage styles to create looks which are guarenteed to turn some heads. 

Jawbreaker: An East End London based alternative brand incorporating Rocker and Subculture aesthetic with a nod to classic Punk, Gothic Victorian, and Steampunk style.  Our collective of one-of-a-kind designs includes dresses, trousers, blouses, t-shirts, tutus, tops, guys and girls hoodies, jackets,  bags, backpacks and much, much more! We create original graphics, prints, and designs for unique individuals who love to express themselves through music, lifestyle, and clothing!

Helly Bunny 

For Hell Bunny this season is all about having fun with fashion. Offering a selection of playful prints, funfair print dresses with matching cardigans and super cute tattoo inspired prints with cupcakes and sweets.

As well as the cute, girly range, Hell Bunny will also be exhibiting a variety of printed items for an edgier look, strong sailor tattoo inspired prints and a classic retro collection with beautifully cut shapes to flatter the figure and classic floral, poppy and apple prints.

Bettie Page:

This season Tatyana Designs, through its Bettie Page brand will be presenting two distinct themes for Spring/Summer 2014; polka dots and nautical.
From large and small dots to eye catching nautical stripes, this ever-popular LondonEdge brand will no doubt be a huge hit on the catwalk and show floor with its 1940’s and 50’s ‘Golden Age’ inspired collection designed for those looking for a unique, retro-inspired yet modern look.


Alchemy Gothic will be showcasing their sumptuous and wide-ranging collection of historical, mystical, dark exotic and bizarre jewellery and fashion accessories. Look out for the Black Dahlia, a black lace choker with black flower, glass and pewter bead detailing, the Lord of the Flies giant silver polished and Swarovski fly ring and the Philosopher’s Stone a huge gem-cut hematite Swarovski crystal ring. 

New Rock

LondonEdge are pleased to welcome back New Rock to the February show. Created in 1978 in Spain, it has grown to become one of the most recognisable alternative shoe brands in the world and is sold in more than 50 countries worldwide. Their unique manufacturing technique coupled with constantly evolving and futuristic designs are aimed at the young men and women laying their bets on a new life-style. 

Evil Clothing

Everything is evil at Evil Clothing. At LondonEdge browse their exciting new ranges of punk, street, goth and emo clothing and accessories. 


Well known for their skull print totes, cutting edge tees and wallets, Loungefly has grown to include a wide selection of licensed accessories including Disney, Hello Kitty, My Little Pony, Paul Frank, Crowded Teeth, Peanuts, and more.

Started in a small warehouse in 1998 and now based in sunny Southern California, Loungefly has become a premiere contemporary accessory company constantly striving to be cutting edge and creative.

Brand Break Down, LondonEdge 2014

Es gibt von Tag zu Tag mehr Neuigkeiten über die LondonEdge 2014 und unsere Aufregung wird immer größer. Wenigstens bleibt mir dabei kaum eine Chance über meine Flugangst nachzudenken, während ich mit Outfitwahl, Koffer wiegen und Vorfreude beschäftigt bin.

The National Hall – London Olympia

As with the prior 28 shows, this February LondonEdge will once again welcome a host of new exhibitors to its bustling floor. 
Joining the throng of LondonEdge exhibitors will be accessory and jewellery brands B BarbarellaCherryloco and Walter Wright, for shoes Ellie Shoes, YRU and KUDZ, vintage and pin-up brands Contrariety RoseHotrod HussyBannou and Silly Old Sea Dog, for t-shirts and printed apparel BeUnrivalledFaye de-BoorderRafflesia Designs and also Syd & MalloryYoung Britania and Zombie Girl ticking the punk & new alternative boxes.

B Barbarella’s 

Fans of B Barbarella’s fabulous and feisty leather skirts and flirty feather accessories will be pleased to visit Londonedge.
Swishy minis in sumptuous Italian handpicked leathers with sensuous and flattering feather capes in shades from raunchy red to classic black.


BANNOU is elegant, feminine and all woman. Inspired by the classic and bygone eras, BANNOU's designs are distinguished, unique yet timeless and simple. With quality and design key the brand also has a strong ecological ethos, repeatedly sourcing sustainable materials.
Brand fans include German pinup girl Vanessa who said sees Bannou dresses as classy, simply, vampy and sexy.

BeUnrivalled is a new UK t-shirt brand focusing on stylish and graphic prints. Proving that "Art Is Not Just For Walls" BeUnrivalled will be exhibiting their collection of men's and ladies t-shirts at London Edge this February. Look out for their range of super soft 100% cotton with lightweight water-based graphic prints and the range with full colour sublimation graphic prints on the front. 
LondonEdge is the brands very first trade show since launching in September 2013.

Cherryloco is an independent perspex jewellery and accessories company, with each piece designed and produced in Scotland.
The main collections being showcased at LondonEdge this season include The Molecule Collection made up of molecule structures embellished with Swarovski crystals and The Nevermore Collection, inspired by Edgar Allan Poe and the Raven detailed with a mysterious bird, raven wings and skull imagery formed from layers of mirror and black perspex.

Contrariety Rose
Contrariety Rose takes inspiration from the glamorous silhouettes of the 1940s & 1950s, combined with their own touch of style and modernism.
At LondonEdge, the will be exhibiting their collection ‘Curious Blossom’, made in the UK, these pieces are guaranteed to add an air of elegance to your look with flashes of daring pink, striking bird print, as well as dainty florals.

Ellie Shoes
Founded in California in 2000, Ellie Shoes specialises in lingerie, bedroom, and sexy Halloween costume shoes with a Bettie Page collaboration catering to the Rockbilly, Pin-Up and Burlesque genres.
As well as this Bettie Page by Ellie Shoes range, at LondonEdge look out for Ellie Shoes Sexy Collection offering pumps, platforms, sling backs, peep-toes and boots for boudoir, fetish, sexy communities, dancers and performers, the Halloween Collection plus the 1031 by Ellie Shoes that carries costume specific shoes and boots for men and kids.

Faye de-Boorder
Having previous shown at Graduate Fashion Week and London’s Alternative Fashion Week Faye de-Boorder is no stranger to the fashion limelight.
At LondonEdge Faye de-Boorder will be showing two new collections, the first called ‘Kawaii as F**k’ is a collaboration between Faye and Candyholic owner Kairi Mori which combines the ultra-feminine styles of Japanese street fashion with bold street fashion styles of the western world.
The second ‘Sikkkitty’, combines kawaii Japanese influences with edgy British style, pushing the boundaries of cute fashion.

George Cox
George Cox has made shoes in Northamptonshire for over 100 years and now in its fourth generation, the brand still uses the traditional Goodyear Welted construction.  Famous for the original “brothel creeper” made in 1949 and worn by the Sex Pistols and the Clash, it is truly the heritage rock’n’roll brand. 
Past collaborations include Fred Perry Laurel Leaf, Ganryu (Comme des Garcons), Bape and Yohji Yamamoto, continually keeping the look fresh.

Hotrod Hussy
Focusing on quality fabrics and professional tailoring, this Amsterdam based label aims to provide the retro classy, punk rock, pin-up girl with a variety of styles to fill, complete or complement her wardrobe.
With a range of comfortable yet feminine workwear to make you look sexy under the hood and on top of it, the Greasy Girls category is for the girls out there who love hotrods and don't mind breaking a nail whilst customising a car.
Dragstrip Dollies is for those girls who love hotrods too but won't be caught dead with grease under their nails, focused on 30's, 40's and 50's girly and feminine styles.
Short for kudzai meaning 'praise' in Shona, KUDZ’s inspiration behind the brand came from sketching and daydreaming in school classrooms.
The collection KUDZ will be showcasing is a mix of vintage and modern casual footwear using colorful design and genre crossing silhouettes.  KUDZ aims to provide quality athletic and casual footwear for people who desire luxury comfort. 

Rafflesia Designs
Rafflesia Designs is a new exciting and different clothing brand that concentrates on handmade and limited edition men and women's clothing including women's corsets and bloomers and men’s shirts and unique leather corsets. 
Utilising exclusive high quality fabrics from a prestigious U.S.A fabric design house these latest creations are an essential addition to anyone's closet. 
Whether you are adding to your party time outfits or adding a touch of style to a formal occasion you will find a diverse and tempting selection for both men and women.

Silly old Sea Dog
Silly Old Sea Dog produce vintage inspired clothing for woman all lovingly handmade in the UK. With fun and colourful prints on the collection of dresses and skirts for UK sizes 6-16 with a plus size collection coming in March 2014 (up to size UK 26). The dresses and skirts are available to customers in small runs allowing for individuality and Silly Old Sea Dog will be presenting a brand new collection for Spring/Summer at LondonEdge.

Syd & Mallory
Syd & Mallory's is an independent label made in Sheffield, grown from the need of original designs and individual, raw, edgy, folky, grunge, and punk styles.
The SS14 collection is inspired by seaside gift shops with dolphin charms, alien memorabilia and fluffy heart detailing.  Inspiration is also taken from 90's bands like Shampoo and teen films like Clueless, with powder pinks and baby blues mixed with bold prints in monochrome, bright greens and yellows. Clashing patterns and textures is a big theme throughout, with faux fur, leatherette and jersey.

Walter Wright
Walter Wright a family run company who have been involved in the making of high quality hats for over 300 years. Philip Wright, a member of the Worshipful Company of Feltmakers Livery and a Freeman of the City of London has been running the family business for over fifteen years, making Philip one of the oldest ‘blood line’ hat manufacturers in the world.
Philip designs and makes bridal, couture, casual and men’s hats for individuals (including HRH Princess Royal), film, theatre, television and supplies large and small department stores and boutiques world-wide.

Young Britannia
Young Britannia is a fashion house dedicated to delivering edgy, high fashion and British inspired products while also promoting unity amongst Young Britons.
Fierce footwear lovers will enjoy YRU a brand that caters to the young, street-minded fashionistas who want unique, distinctive shoes.  With a team of artists and individual thinkers behind the brand, YRU strives to share the message of universal acceptance and donates a portion of its proceeds to financially challenged youth in order to better their lives and aid their aspirations. At LondonEdge look out for their variety of platform high top sneakers, sleek flats with studs and spikes, loafers and more.

Zombie Girl
Up and coming London based fashion brand, Zombie Girl creates hand screened Zombie themed, unisex clothing and apparel alongside a super sexy range of leggings, crops and dresses just for the Zombie girls out there.
Zombie Girl will be exhibiting their spring summer 2014 collection alongside a preview of what’s to come this winter, with their new monochrome jackets, oversized sweats and rad beanies.

Lingerie Brands, LondonEdge 2014

Die LondonEdge Trade Show 2014 rückt näher und näher. Wir befinden uns neben viel anderer Arbeit momentan in den Vorbereitungen für unseren Trip nach London. Verzeiht uns bitte, dass es hier im letzten Monat deswegen etwas ruhig geworden ist... Es ist die Ruhe vor dem Sturm!

Für die LondonEdge Trade Show 2014 gibt es nun noch ein paar Neuigkeiten über einige Lingerie-Marken.

The London Edge Trade Show 2014 is getting closer and closer. We are currently making preparations for our trip to London next to a lot of other work. So forgive us that it became a little quiet here ... It is the calm before the storm!

For the London Edge Trade Show 2014, there are now a few updates on some lingerie brands.

2nd-4th February 2014
London Olympia 

Dominating the trade show scene for 14 years, LondonEdge caters to the whole gamut of alternative lifestyles. LondonEdge Original represents over 150 hard-edged, punk, rock, goth and tattoo inspired brands and LondonEdge Fashion houses 150 rock n roll, vintage, retro, pin up, burlesque and rockabilly collections.  As well as an array of clothing, accessory and beauty brands available the show floor will once again be heaving with lingerie brands for all.

Designed in London, Burkeska will be showcasing their collection of high quality corsets, skirts, corset dresses, jackets, alternative wear and more in styles ranging from elegant, classic, Victorian, burlesque and gothic to the now very popular steampunk, rock and bridal.

Supplying over 200 boutiques in more than 50 countries, Burleska corsets are body-shaping garments that give the wearer a lovely feminine look with a pushed in waist and hourglass figure.

LondonEdge are pleased to also welcome Starline Lingerie to next seasons show. Specialising in lingerie sets, beachwear, nightwear, clubwear, burlesque, retro costume, gothica clothing and bespoke design, Starline Lingerie will be launching their ‘StarlineLingerie Retro Swimsuit at the Feb 2014 event.

Swimwear lovers look no further than Too Fast. Founded in 2005 as a DIY operation by Maureen Keough, since its launch the brand has been unwavering in its love for the music, the clothing and culture of punk rock. Continuing to stay true to the brands roots whilst breaking new ground with new designs, music inspiration is widespread from Black Flag and Sonic Youth to Johnny Cash and Old Crow Medicine Show whilst fashion inspiration includes DIY punk, rockabilly, pin and tattoo styles as well as haute couture such as Vivienne Westwood.

At LondonEdge look out for their ‘Skelly Monokini’ a one piece suit with skeleton hand detail and the ‘Ariel Bikini’ complete with over sized bows.

With this just a small example of the brands on offer at the 2014 show, lingerie connoisseurs will not be disappointed by the vast collections available to peruse.

This unique global show is dedicated to short order merchandise, with an excellent reputation for attracting a high percentage of overseas buyers and for onsite order writing. 

The biggest and best show of its kind, LondonEdge is met year after year with an exciting buzz and positive atmosphere. With this host of eclectic brands, fashion show performances on the central stage, music throughout, body painting demonstrations and themed lounges this season will be no exception!
